September in Mrs M McParland's P7 class
5th Oct 2018
In September we learned about autobiographies, biographies and used personification in poetry. We explored large numbers, decimals and fractions, properties of quadrilateral shapes and the area of right angled triangles. We began our Grow in Love program and our Confirmation preparation. In World Around Us we are trying to work out if Space exploration is important? Our PE sessions with the Healthy Kidz coach were energetic and so much fun. All in all a very industrious start to P7.
Using the iPads to help us organise the properties of quadrilaterals.
Using a maths dictionary to help us with the more tricky ones.
Considering the problem.
Discussing in our groups the different properties of quadrilateral shapes.
Helping each other out.
This was a fun activity.
Looking at the shapes to see if we are right.
I think it is this...
But if you look at it like this...
Some of these were challenging.
We needed to look up and check our facts.
Fraction games.
Comparing fractions with the fraction pizza game.
Problem solving with fractions.
