Primary 4 were invited to take part in an Art competition called Animal Magic. This was run by EOTAS Learning Centre, Newry. This art competition was for local children and young people to participate in aid of animal welfare charities.
Each individual had to draw or make a model of their favourite animal. By doing this and discussing their favourite animal, children were aware how wrong it was to hurt an animal in a cruel way.
Our art work was displayed in Newry Art’s Centre on the 7th April 2016.
Our year group were invited down to the opening of the exhibition at 10 o clock. They met the organiser Lucia Flanagan, a Youth worker for EOTAS Newry and the Judge, Mayo born Richard Kelly. He was delighted to see such talent among our primary 4 children. Our boys and girls were given biscuits and juice at the event.
