Honouring Blessed Edmund Rice

Yesterday marked the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice.

He is a very special presence within our school and we have spoken about the wonderful gift that he gave to the poor of Ireland many years ago-education! We spoke about this at assembly this week and it is so important that the children appreciate that their education truly is a gift and one to be cherished, as not every child in the world has access to it.
I love talking to our children about things like this as they listen so sincerely and really seem to ‘get it.’
