McNulty Applauds St. Clare’s Abbey Young Environmentalists

15th May 2023

Justin McNulty MLA and his party colleague Derry Finn visited St. Clare’s Abbey this week to see first-hand the pupils’ environmental project.

Speaking after the visit to St. Clare’s Abbey Mr. McNulty said:

“We were absolutely blown away by the children’s environmental knowledge, passion and ambition. They have worked tirelessly together along with their teacher Mr. Fitzpatrick to create a beautiful haven of biodiversity on the edge of our city!

"The fact that out of 290 entries from 28 counties across the Island of Ireland their school project, ‘2023-089 St. Francis’ Garden’ has been shortlisted for the finals of the Young Environmentalist Awards 2023 is incredibly positive and is testament to their inspiring imagination and hard work.

Ms. Finn added:

“We would like to say a huge well done to Daire, Lexi, Lottie, Oliver, Adomas, Grace and Laoimh.

for all the hard work they have put in over the past few months and we congratulate them on such an excellent, FINALIST environmental action project. We wish the children a hearty good luck in Final Showcase and Awards ceremony of the Young Environmentalist Awards 2023 in the National Convention Centre in Dublin on the 26th of May 2023.”
