P5 & ECPD "Fireside Singing"

On Wednesday 13^th April, P5 and the ECPD competed in the ‘Fireside Singing’ competition in Newry Feis, and despite being faced with some stiff competition, came away with first place.

The large crowd in attendance were blown away by the singing of our children, from their rousing rendition of ‘The star of the County Down’, to the more sombre and sad ‘Molly Malone’.

Many thanks to Miss Jones for her beautiful piano accompaniment and for the many hours of work she spent helping to prepare the children for the competition.

Well done boys and girls, we are all very proud of you.
