St Brigid’s Day Mr Hillen’s class

This St. Brigid’s Day, Mr Hillen’s class had a great time making crosses. The class learned all about St. Brigid and some of the things she did. They learned that she prayed to God to be ugly so that no man would fall in love with her. Brigid was inspired by St.Patrick and wanted to devote her life to God by spreading his word around Ireland. They also discussed the story of St Brigid’s cloak when she asked for a piece of land to build a church.
