The children have returned after their Christmas break and are eager and ready to learn. This term in Literacy we we continue to explore our letters and sounds, CVC word building, story sequencing, character profiles and sentence construction. The children are really enjoying learning to read and have been really confident applying all of the reading strategies we are teaching them. In Numeracy we continue on our number journey, we explore the concepts of weight, time and money amongst others and the children are really loving the practical hands on approach to these topics. The children continue to flourish during our Play Based Learning sessions. This term we are exploring Castles in our locality. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit to both Mabel’s Tower and Bagenal’s Castle.
